KEYNOTE SPEAKER

This year’s keynote speaker will be Bob Yanda. He is the President of the Iowa satellite of Midwestern Bio-Ag. Midwestern BioAg is a leader in soil testing, and consulting.  They are predominant in the Midwest, and have begun to put other satellites in the East, including one in Michigan. Bob is a leading voice in Dairy Nutrition as well as a nationwide speaker on building biologically sound soil.   Bob has spoken not only in the US, but also in Canada, Africa, and Australia.

Morgan Composting is once again hosting a soil workshop. This year we will be concentrating on the long term concerns of overusing nitrogen in the soil.
We will be looking at different ways to use nitrogen around us, and capitalize on ‘free’ inputs.

The past few years we have been having an evening discussion. This year we will continue that. The topic is going to be on marketing your vegetables.  We are still looking for people to mediate this, but think it will turn out great.  It will give farmers a chance to share their story, and marketing strategies, as well as give consumers a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes.
